Rosé for the Bays Release Party to Benefit CCE's Marine Program!

Castello Di Borghese has released a “Rosé for the Bays” to benefit Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Marine Program, and it’s time to celebrate! A free event will be held at Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue on Thursday, August 10th from 6-9pm. All who attend the celebration will receive a free tasting of the wine, an off dry Rosé of Cabernet Franc. After your tasting you are invited to enjoy this and other wines by the glass or bottle. We’ve partnered with Harvest Moon Shellfish Co. who will generously be providing a complimentary half dozen oysters for each bottle of Rosé for the Bays sold at the event. Oysters will also be available to purchase by the dozen and half dozen, and the winery’s full menu of gourmet bites will also be available.

Opportunities to enroll in CCE’s Back to the Bays Membership Program will be offered, marine themed art from Kara Hoblin's “Sea Something, Save Something” exhibition will be on view for sale, in addition to Back to the Bays merchandise items and limited edition “Rosé for the Bays” wine glasses. All proceeds generated from this event will directly support Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program's efforts to enhance shellfish populations, bring back marine and costal habitat, and inspire stewardship through involvement opportunities and educational programming.

Additional highlights of the event include a performance by The Como Brothers who will provide the soundtrack to the evening from 6-8:30pm. Then, at 8:30 a special outdoor screening of CCE Marine Program’s "On The Water & In The Field” news magazine show will take place among the vines. This episode features stories on CCE’s oyster bed building, eelgrass habitat restoration efforts, kelp aquaculture, and more!
